What things cost
If you ask how much it costs to have a website built, you’ll usually be invited to a meeting rather than given a price. The same applies to bespoke software and mobile apps. All the prices are listed here on this page, so you can work out your budget before you speak to anyone. Including me.
My name is Reinier de la Parra and I work from Groningen for clients throughout the Netherlands. What an entire team at a web agency would do, I do here on my own: web design, the actual development, and bespoke software that is precisely tailored to how your business really operates. Looking for an app developer for iOS and Android? I can handle both platforms from a single codebase. From the initial sketch right through to well after the launch, you’ll be working directly with the person who writes the code.
Starting prices. A business website is available from as little as €4.500, including design, development and delivery. Client portals and booking systems start at €7.500. The in-house tool that finally makes spreadsheets obsolete starts at €5.000. A mobile app for iOS and Android starts at €12.000. Develop your idea using the OpenSpec builder – it’s free – that’s the only entry in the table where I’m losing money. Anything outside the fixed scope costs €95 per hour.
Whatever the project, the price is fixed before we start. It’s set out in a quotation that clearly states what’s to be built. That price only changes if you add something, and you’ll be told the cost before any changes are made. Exactly where you’ll fall within the price range depends on the scope of the work, and the three factors that determine this are set out below. Here’s what you can expect:
Websites
A fast, bespoke website that really puts your business in the spotlight: built, tested and delivered.
Custom web applications
My customers log in and view their own details, documents or orders.
Availability, confirmations and an admin dashboard that your staff can manage themselves.
That thing that replaces the spreadsheet that nobody dares to touch.
Apps
From the initial review to the release: both the App Store and Google Play have approved everything.
Specs, agents and review
Use the spec builder on this site. You don’t need an account, and your draft will be saved in your browser.
I’ll give you an honest assessment of what your agent has delivered, and I’ll charge you per minute I spend on it.

Hourly
For work outside the scope of a fixed-scope project.
What determines the price?
Three things, mainly:
- Scope: Scope: pages, screens and customised features. A contact form is inexpensive; a payment system is not.
- Design: Design: building on your existing brand is quicker than starting from scratch.
- Content: Contents: once the text and images are ready, we’ll get started straight away. If not, I’ll either help you for a fee or show you how to do it.
What's always included
I offer a fixed price that we agree on in advance. I test everything on real devices. I take care of the launch and handover. I provide free aftercare for the period specified in your quotation. You will have full ownership of the code and the accounts. I also provide documentation.
What's never included
Surprise invoices. You’ll be told about anything that falls outside the agreed scope before it costs you anything, including the price, so that you can say no.
Would you like a specific figure for your project?
Describe what should be in place and where things are currently getting stuck. What you’ll then receive is an estimate that I can justify: the expected costs, what I would recommend instead if something else is a better fit, and whether the figure in the table holds up when applied to your situation.
Accuracy helps. Have you used the OpenSpec -builder yet? If so, add the concept. It will remain in your browser until you click ‘send’, and I won’t be able to see it until then. Sketches you’ve already created work in the same way. The same applies to an export from the programme you’re currently using, or a link to a website whose design you like.
And if bespoke software isn’t the right solution, we’ll let you know. Sometimes a standard product is all you need. Sometimes a minor tweak to what you already have is enough. That consultation is free, whether it’s via video or in Groningen.
